Lemnian Athena - Item #21882 Inches High x 24 Inches Wide x 18 Inches Deep The over life sized statue is widely believed to be a Roman marble copy of a Greek bronze original of a Greek goddess, and is probably the famous Athena Lemnia by Phidias which stood on the Acropolis in Athens. Phidias was also the artistic director for the Parthenon. The original piece was commissioned between 451 and 447 B. C. E. The Roman copy was probably made between the late first century B. C. E.
