Description

French Antique Bridal MirrorA lovely example of a 19th century French Bridal Mirror. A striking decorative crest sits at the top of the gesso wood frame in a beautiful tone of gold with superb foxing on the mirror itself. These traditional mirrors were given as gifts to brides on their wedding day and the feet of the mirror would have originally sat within a bridal chest. it has a wonderful patina to it which gives a stunning not quite silver/ not quite gold tone which makes these pieces for me
