Description

Murdock PlusOverdrive distortion with HM 2 EQ GCI Murdock Plus is a similar circuit to Murdock but with the addition of hard clipping diodes, gain, and volume controls. It's a simple, somewhat transparent overdrive circuit with a maxed out HM 2 style EQ circuit as a parallel blend. Build documentation can be found here below. Please read before purchasing. Experienced builders will recognize the topology as a negative feedback op amp clipper — arguably the most common type of circuit used in overdrive pedals

This can be done using an SPDT switch or a jumper wire if required

Turn it one way for a gain and mid boost

wired as indicated on the back of the board

Shape (along with the position of the Tilt knob) adjusts the mid frequency

the other for a thick or bright boost

but also includes clickless relay switching and the popular “edge” mod

which applies hard clipping to only the high frequencies
