Yellow Jacket, La Cañada Flintridge 1950sNestled in the foothills of the San Gabriel Mountains, the City of La Caada Flintridge was incorporated in 1976. Previously, it had been two distinct communities La Caada (Spanish for canyon) and Flintridge. This menu illustration of a cheerful flying insect, complete with chefs hat and serving a buzzburger, was from the Yellow Jacket drive in. Located at Foothill Blvd, the restaurant was owned and operated by Lloyd Baumer and his mother Agnes Atol

It closed in 1965 due to increased rents

It was available to buy for a dollar or more which went to the Damon Runyan Fund
