CMYK-G: We’re committed to sustainability

2 May 2022

At PCL Group we are committed to sustainability playing our part in protecting the environment wherever possible across our business. From how we source our paper and inks, through to our recycling practices, being as green as we can be is at the heart of what we do.

TOITU – ENVIRO MARK GOLD
As part of our ongoing commitment to environmental management and investment, PCL Group has achieved ENVIRO MARK GOLD level status from Toitū. As New Zealand’s original environmental certification programme, Toitū provides resources and support to businesses to implement credible and effective environmental management systems.PCL Group participated in Toitū’s five-step programme which helps to identify and reduce environmental impacts, save money, and understand corporate legal obligations.

ENVIRONMENTAL CERTIFICATIONS
At PCL Group we understand paper is our largest environmental footprint and we support recycled paper printing becoming more prevalent in the marketplace. We print on recycled papers with the highest environmental credentials such as: Produced with green energy | Ancient forest friendly | Processed chlorine free | Minimum 30% post-consumer waste. PCL Group actively supports FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) and PEFC (Programme for the Endorsement of Forest) – and sources its paper from providers who also support these forest management schemes.

ECOVADIS (BUSINESS SUSTAINABILITY RATINGS)
Our production facility utilises the latest technology from globally recognised manufacturers, who have environmental sustainability at the forefront of their ethos, and we adhere to their sustainable practices. We use vegetable-based ink, and all wastage or minimal surplus are recycled wherever possible. We are actively implementing environmental accounting standards and green procurement policies. We are also a member of EcoVadis (European leaders in global sustainability bench-marking).
