Digital & Offset Printing
PCL Group has a range of printing options to suit both your one-off and ongoing print requirements. From Digital to Offset printing, and right through to Digiset (Hybrid) printing – we do it all.
DIGItal Printing
Advances in digital printing technology has meant that the output quality of digital printing now rivals that of traditional offset print. The real value of digital print, however, comes in the ability to print much smaller, faster and cost-effective print runs, due to there being comparatively few set-up costs to offset printing. Digital printing allows companies of any size to use a print-on-demand approach – printing only what they need, as they need it.
PCL Group has its own in-house digital printing room dedicated to producing high quality, fast turnaround, smaller run digital printing projects. This temperature-controlled environment features state-of-the-art Konica-Minolta and Océ digital printers – both widely known in the market for performance, reliability and output quality.
Offset Printing
Offset printing is ideal if you need to print large quantities of an item, or you have a print project where 100% accurate colour matching is a mandatory requirement. Offset is a method of mass-production printing in which the images on metal plates are transferred (offset) to rubber blankets or rollers and then to the print media.
The print media, usually paper, does not come into direct contact with the metal plates. Perfect for printing everything from corporate letterhead to large runs of posters, brochures & magazines, Offset printing is a great way to keep the unit costs of print runs low.
PCL Group has been managing the offset printing for many of New Zealand’s largest and most well-known brands for the past three decades.
Digiset (Hybrid) Printing
There are a range of very popular print methods dominating today’s print landscape. Sheet and Web Offset, using Soy-based inks, are still a go-to for large volume print runs.
Xerox / Canon / Konica (and others) dominate the Digital scene and use Dry Powder to replicate the print process. This has come a long way and can now closely match to offset.
HP Indigo Digital (Digiset Hybrid Printing) delivers all the clean benefits of Digital Dry Powder but uses Liquid Inks, which replicates offset printing and produces an exceptional colour gamut and outstanding image quality.
PCL Group is excited to offer the benefits of Digiset (Hybrid) Printing to our clients.
Wide Format Printing
Wide-format printing is used to print banners, large posters, trade show graphics, architectural drawings, construction plans, backdrops for theatrical and media sets, and any other large format artwork or signage.
PCL Group has both in-house wide-format print capability, and has a group of market-leading large format print partners we also use for overflow jobs when we are already in action.
